IWMI Deputy Director General, Rachael McDonnell shared knowledge and experience on building water-resilient food systems at the 2nd Rome Water Dialogue where Pay Dreschsel, Research Quality Advisor of IWMI led the launch of Water quality in agriculture: Risks and mitigation, a joint venture between IWMI and FAO.
IWMI researchers explained the implications of water tenure on food and water security at the 51st World Food Security Committee. Rachael McDonnell, IWMI and Barbara Van Koppen, IWMI also participated and proposed effective water interventions to tackle climate crisis and legal tools that prioritize water and food security.
