Summary

Rainwater harvesting through groundwater recharge wells can help end the federal capital’s water shortage issue as its newly established 80 subsurface groundwater recharge wells could help replenish 152 million gallons of water to the plummeting aquifer facing pressure due to excessive water drilling.
A study conducted by IWMI indicates that ground water in twin cities is depleting at rapid speed of 1.7 meters per year.
