“Water is more than just a resource,” says Kakhramon Jumaboev, a researcher at the
Central Asia Regional Office of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in
Tashkent. “Water should be thought of as life, and it is everyone's responsibility to
protect it. In a country like Uzbekistan, where water resources are limited, every drop of
water should be counted. "
