මේ වන විට ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතාව, පෝෂණය ඇතුළු අභියෝග රැසකට මුහුණ දී සිටින බවත් ජල පරිහරණයේදී ප්‍රමුඛතා හඳුනාගත යුතු බවත් අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා පැවසිය. එමෙන්ම අපේ රජය රටේ ජල කළමනාකරණයට සම්බන්ධ සියලු ම ආයතන සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන් කටයුතු කරන බවද ඔහු කියා සිටියේය. එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සංවිධානයට අනුබද්ධ ජාත්‍යන්තර ජල කළමනාකරණ ආයතනය විසින් 2022.11.28 දින කොළඹදී සංවිධාන කරන ලද උත්සවයකදී අග්‍රාමාත්‍යවරයා මෙම අදහස් පළ කළේය.
(Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said that currently Sri Lanka is facing many challenges including food security and nutrition and priorities should be identified in water use. He also said that our government cooperates with all institutions related to water management in the country. The Prime Minister expressed these views at an event organized by the International Water Management Institute affiliated to the United Nations on 28.11.2022 in Colombo.)
