Western Nepal woman rainwater harvest multiple use of water agriculture

Dilsara Khadka fetch water from rain water system in her home in Dharm Pokhara Village in Gurans Rural Municipality in Dailekh district of Nepal. Her family is one of the beneficiaries in Dharam Pokhara of solar lifted water. It used to take one and half hour to fetch water before the installation of the solar lift. Her husband Dirga Bahadur Khadka used to work in Malaysia as a migrant laborer. Now a day the family is earning in village by growing vegetables working together with her for four years. “The excess water after drinking from the Solar lift water is used in vegetable farm”, her husband says.
